Baraka Kalangahe

 

Mr. Kalangahe is a Coastal Management Practitioner and a member of National Environment Trust Fund. He has expertise in Integrated Coastal Management specifically in the fields: Mariculture, Participatory Project Planning, Environmental Assessment; Mainstreaming Gender, Population, Health and Environment (PHE) in Coastal Management, Climate Change and Community Economic Development.

Dr. Jasson R. M. John

 

Dr. Jasson is a Lecturer in Wildlife Sciences, Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation, College of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Dar es Salaam. He holds a PhD in Forest Environmental Science from Seoul National University, Korea, M.Sc. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and B.Sc. in Wildlife Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania. He has also worked at the University of Dar es Salaam as a Research Assistant (August 2002 – October 2004) in the department of Biodiversity Monitoring Project in the East Usambara Mountains, A MacArthur Foundation funded Research Project and Assistant Lecturer in Wildlife Sciences, Department of Zoology and Wildlife Conservation (April 2007 – 2013).

 

Dr. Jasson has also teamed up with other local and international organization in numerous projects on conservation and has made plenty of publications on the matter.

 

Gary Roberts

Gary Roberts Bsc is a freelance photojournalist who covers conservation issues worldwide. He is a graduate of Leeds University Zoology and has studied photography at Speos Photographic Institute of Paris 1994 as well as PADI Rescue Diver.  He has worked with numerous conservation groups including SOS Lynx on Iberian Peninsula, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Kenya, The FairtradeFoundation – Ghana and ABRU Animal Behavior Research Unit – Mikumi National Park Tanzania. Currently also gives lectures and continues with his photographic assignments.

Costantin Coucoulis

 

Director and Co-owner of Saadani Lodges and Founding Chair of SANA. Mr. Coucoulis studied Economics in Greece. He has dedicated his time, conservation knowledge, and community development skills to the communities around Saadani National Park since 2001. In 2016 he was selected to be a board member of the Jane Goodall Institute Tanzania based on his enormous contribution to conservation efforts in Tanzania. He also participates in conservation activities conducted by numerous other organizations addressing similar issues. He has also been instrumental in bringing together experts and government organizations to discuss conservation issues occurring in Tanzania.

Dr. Nancy Shadrack

 

Dr. Shadrack works with the Vice President’s Office-Ministry of Environment and Union Affairs as Technical & Advisor to the Minister since August 2016-Present. She also works with National Environment Management Council as Senior Environmental Officer since January 2007. She holds a Doctorate in Environmental Modeling Assessment of Natural Resources, Development Programs and Educational Leadership, from St. Cloud State University - Minnesota, Master of Science Environment, and Social Responsibility from St. Cloud State University – Minnesota and Bachelor of Science in Geography and Natural Resources Assessment and Management from University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

 

Dr. Nancy has excellent skills in Scientific Method on Environmental Impact Assessment, Compliance and Enforcement, Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM), Resource Assessment, Restoration and Valuation, Calculating Carbon benefits, Remote-Sensing Tools and GIS, Application of 3S Technique in Integrate Coastal Management, Administration and Environmental Management Skills
